Powerpuffsss my style changed soo much since i last drew them!
Every time I think I can’t love George Perez’ take on Dick Grayson any more, I see new work he’s done and fall for it all over again.
George posted the story behind it on his Facebook, but since I know not everyone likes linking directly to there here’s the text…
Yesterday, Carol and I were treated to Crosby, Stills and Nash concert at the Hard Rock Cafe by a dear young friend (and comics fan) Eugene Schnee. Eugen is also a big fan of Dick Grayson, both as Robin and Nightwing. He had asked if I could do a little sketch of the character. This is the piece I gave him as we met him at the Hard Rock. The big smile on his face was especially gratifying! A reaction like that is just one of the many reasons being a comic book artist is so much fun!Whoever Eugen is, I envy him like CRAZY!
I dunno how to explain this without sounding pretentious. I’ve been fiddling a bit with how I want to draw my own comics in the future (as in, not derivative of any other work), which has included a lot of fiddling about with face shapes and features. I thought I’d apply the same fiddling process to Sailor Moon, because I have a medical condition where I can’t stop doing that.
ive been batgirling at the speed of light the past few weeks.
as you should be

This took so much longer than I thought it would but at least it’s finally done. I actually decided to use the original version instead of the revised one in the recent reprints because even though the revised one looks a lot nicer it also has all that blurring and I wouldn’t even know how to begin coloring all that.
Also I really wanted to do this just because this is like my favorite image in the entire manga.
